This course enables operators to gain proficiency in the architecture and configuration of Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes. The course emphasizes the understanding of the Kubernetes components responsible for deploying OpenStack services on your infrastructure.

Additionally, MOS210 delves into the tunable parameters that allow you to tailor your OpenStack deployment, with live demonstrations showcasing how these changes are deployed. The course also provides a practical learning experience with hands-on exercises involving the backup of the OpenStack database using MOS’s built-in tools. Upon completion, operators are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently manage and optimize their OpenStack for Kubernetes deployment.

This course is targeted at students with the following:

  • Roles: This course is intended for engineers who have the basic knowledge of Linux, virtualization and containerization technologies, Kubernetes API and CLI, Helm and Helm charts, Mirantis Kubernetes Engine, and OpenStack.
  • OS100 or similar experience with OpenStack Essentials
  • CN211 (MANDATORY)
  • Explain each component of the MOS infrastructure stack.
  • Use multiple methods to access openstack APIs running on MOS
  • Configure supported OpenStack parameters and update the OpenStack version on a live environment.
  • Run common OpenStack operations tasks (taking a backup of the Openstack database)
