Are you looking to create a private cloud? Have you already tried but encountered difficulties? The OS320: Advanced OpenStack Deployment and Debug course is a 2-day training that gives you hands-on experience deploying OpenStack in a private cloud environment. The course is suitable for cloud support personnel who need to understand how their OpenStack cloud was built. You’ll learn how to troubleshoot issues by reviewing log files and deploying instances.
The course starts with an Ubuntu environment and the stable Ussuri code branch. You’ll perform tasks such as installing Linux packages, editing configuration files, setting up databases and tables, restarting services, and verifying your work. By the end of the lab exercises, you’ll have created your own private cloud using default drivers like KVM for the hypervisor and OVS for layer 2 networking.
Upon completing OS320, you’ll have the skills needed to pass the COA exam. Mirantis OpenStack courses are vendor-agnostic, meaning tasks are performed in an OpenStack environment without any vendor add-ons that could change the way OpenStack works. Reference implementations like Logical Volume Manager (LVM) for block storage, Open vSwitch (OVS) for layer 2 networking, or KVM/QEMU for the hypervisor are used.
