Is it possible to apply for training and certification that is not listed?

No. You may apply only for training and certifications listed at peneraju.org/courses

Am I going to be informed of my application status?

Yes. You will receive an email notification on your application status within 21 days after successful submission of your application. Remember to check both your inbox and email junk/spam folders. You may retrieve your letter of offer via Peneraju.org. However, do take note, it may exceed the 21 working days during peak application season, and you may have to wait longer. We appreciate your patience and please do plan ahead your timing wisely and not make last minute applications nearing the start of your course or training.

Do I need to pay back the Financing Scheme if I complete the training and certification within the given duration?

Yes. In general, you are required to pay back the Financing Scheme. However, please refer to the terms and conditions stipulated in your Financing Scheme agreement for details.

Can the Financing Scheme be converted into scholarship?

Yes. This is only applicable for straight passers in the Platinum scheme.

2. What type of training and certification can I pursue?

You can pursue various training and certifications available at Peneraju.org, provided you meet all the entry requirements stipulated by Professional/Certification Bodies and Approved Learning and Training Institutions (ALTIs).
This includes receiving a Letter of Offer (LO) from ALTI with accurate Talent and course details.
You are allowed to pursue one training or certification at a time.

3. What is Approved Learning and Training Institutions (ALTIs)?

Approved Learning and Training Institutions or ALTIs refers to Yayasan Peneraju’s panel of learning institutions or training providers selected to offer recognised training and certifications. For a full view of ALTIs, training and certifications offered, kindly visit peneraju.org/courses

  • Approval for you to pursue the training and certifications and the amount of financial assistance shall be at the discretion of Yayasan Peneraju.
  • Total amount applied should be sufficient to cover your training and certification fees as per the amount offered in your LO from the ALTI.
  • Maximum amount of RM150,000.00 under Platinum package is inclusive of allowance. (For details on Allowance please refer Question 6 below)
  • Yayasan Peneraju will not disburse any amount exceeding the approved Financing Scheme amount stated in the LO.
  • Talents are responsible for all claimants’ processes (please refer to Disbursement of Financing Scheme)

6. What type of fees are covered under Yayasan Peneraju Financing Scheme?

Only fees related to Training and Certifications are covered such as:

  • Training / Tuition Fees
  • Registration / Enrolment fee
  • Training / Tuition / MPU fee
  • Learning materials / Software subscription fee
  • Recurring fees (Resource fees, Lab fee, etc)
  • Examination / Certification fees
  • Examination fees
  • Certification fees
  • Other fees related to examination
  • Professional fees

  • Other fees paid to Professional Bodies that does not fall under examination fees

Allowance
Only available for post-SPM full-time training and certification under Platinum package.
Allowances are disbursed quarterly, and you will be required to submit a request for disbursement for each quarter.

7. Are there any administrative fees or interest imposed by Yayasan Peneraju on the Financing Scheme?

No. The Financing Scheme offered is interest-free and no other administrative fees are included.

8. Is there any bond or obligation to Yayasan Peneraju after receiving the Financing Scheme?

No, there is no bond or contractual obligation with Yayasan Peneraju upon receiving the Financing Scheme. However, as part of our Talent and Alumni network, you’ll be among the first to access exclusive opportunities for future programmes, courses, and professional development initiatives.

9. What is the Yayasan Peneraju Financing Scheme Agreement?

This refers to a legally binding contract between Yayasan Peneraju and Talents that outlines the terms and conditions related to financial assistance, obligations, and responsibilities.

It includes payment terms, default terms, termination clause, dispute resolution and signatures of all parties involved including a guarantor (if applicable).

The names of the documents a Yayasan Peneraju Talent should familiarize themselves with are:

  • Letter of Offer (LO)
  • Education Funding Scheme Agreement (EFSA)

10. Who can apply?

If you are New Applicant:

  • Bumiputera
  • Malaysian citizen
  • Aged 16 years and above
  • Obtained a valid offer letter or proof of registration or certification of attendance from the Approved Learning & Training Institution (ALTI)
  • Not an active recipient of other Yayasan Peneraju funding
  • Has an active individual bank account in Malaysia

If you are our “Yayasan Peneraju Alumni”, all criteria listed under “New Applicants” apply, PLUS the following:

  • Repayment Status: If you are currently on a repayment plan with Yayasan Peneraju, you must have made repayments exceeding 50% of the total outstanding as of the application date.
  • Maximum Financing: The total amount of financing received from Yayasan Peneraju shall not exceed RM150,000.00 of our recoverable amount. You may refer to Peneraju.org for your total financial received.

11. Do I need to have a bank account?

Yes. You need to have an individual Savings account with any of the Banks listed below. Please ensure that the bank account is active and is not a joint account for ease of disbursement.

12. When can I apply?

You may apply within 3 months upon receiving offer letter from the ALTI, before the commencement of the training and certification. The application windows are set for APRIL, JUNE, and SEPTEMBER (subject to change). However you can apply throughout the year.

Please follow the latest announcements on Peneraju.org. Yayasan Peneraju reserves the right to reject applications if the commencement date is more than 3 months away.

13. Can an alumni member of Yayasan Peneraju apply for the Financing Scheme?

Yes. Peneraju Alumni (former beneficiary of Yayasan Peneraju who has successfully completed their programmes, or financing scheme funded by Yayasan Peneraju) are eligible to apply, if they have repaid at least 50% of the amount that is due for recovery for the funding received previously (if applicable).

14. Do I need to apply for the training and certification from ALTI before applying for the Yayasan Peneraju Financing Scheme?

Yes. You need to apply for the training and certification you wish to pursue and obtain proof of registration, such as a valid offer letter, acceptance letter, proof of payment, etc. You need to use the proof of registration to complete the Yayasan Peneraju Financing Scheme application.

15. How do I apply for the Yayasan Peneraju Financing Scheme?

  1. Register at Peneraju.org by creating an ID with full name, IC number and email address.
  2. Choose the training or certification you wish to pursue based on the information available at Peneraju.org such as training and certification, entry requirements, duration, Approved Learning and Training Institutions (ALTIs) and Financing Scheme.
  3. Proceed to apply from Peneraju.org by following the steps and submitting all required documents.

  • Click Register
  • Fill in your Full Name as per IC, IC Number (Numbers only), and Personal Email Address
  • Click Next
  • Enter your Personal Email Address, Password, and Confirm Password
  • Click Register
  • Verify your email address
  • Check your email inbox and follow the verification link

  • Click Services
  • Select Apply Financing

17. Since there are no requirements related to income, what is the purpose of attaching a monthly pay slip or income declaration during the application?

The document is required to verify the income information stated in the application form. If you are unemployed or self-employed, please fill in the Income Declaration Form.

19. What happens if I do not receive any notification after 21 working days?

You may check your application status after 21 working days via Peneraju.org. If your status is not visible, please contact our askme@peneraju.org team. However, do take note, it may exceed the 21 working days during peak application season and you may have to wait longer however we do encourage that you reach out to us via the email stated if you require further clarification and our team will get back to you soon.

20. What do I do if my status is ‘Rejected’?

We recommend that you re-apply through peneraju.org and ensure all required documents are uploaded correctly to avoid further delays.

21. What are some common reasons for rejection of your application?

Below are potential reasons why your application may be rejected:

  • Incomplete or Unclear Documents, such as:
    • Missing proof of registration from ALTI
    • Blurred, unreadable or unclear documents, including:
      • NRIC (front and back)
      • Birth certificate copy
  • Missing Initials or Signatures – Failure to initial or sign each page of the Letter of Offer (LO) or EFSA during submission on peneraju.org
  • Unreasonable Funding Request – For example: If the ALTI’s offer letter states RM10,000 for training and certification, but the applicant applies for RM150,000 under the Financing Scheme
  • Falsified Documents – Such as income proof from a non-existent employer
  • Incomplete or Incorrect ALTI Offer Letter, such as:
    • Missing or key information: Name, NRIC, course name, course start and end dates
    • Missing fee structure (required for professional courses)
    • Missing total course amount, including SST
    • Incorrect details: e.g., correct name but wrong NRIC, name not verbatim to IC
  • Incorrect or Incomplete Information in Letter of Offer – e.g., incorrect NRIC number, or other missing fields
  • Did Not Meet Entry Requirements – As outlined in the eligibility criteria

Note: To ensure a smoother and faster process, applicants are advised to have all documents approved by their ALTI before submission.

22. What documents need to be Certified True Copy verified?

Documents mandatory to CTC:

  • Applicant’s NRIC copy (front and back)
  • Applicant’s birth certificate copy
  • Applicant’s bank statement (with visible Bank, Bank Account no. and Bank Account Owner matches with the applicant)

Documents optional to CTC:

  • Applicant’s latest pay slip
  • Applicant’s SPM slip or equivalent (IGCSE)
  • Applicant’s academic transcript (STPM, Diploma, Degree, etc.)

*Please be advised that for post-SPM applicants, it is mandatory to upload your Certified True Copy of your SPM slip.

23. How do I check my application status without logging in?

You can check your status via the ‘Candidate Verification’ feature located at the bottom of Peneraju.org

24. What should I do after receiving an offer from Yayasan Peneraju?

You are given 7 working days to respond to the offer. If you have not responded, we will take it as you rejected our offer of the Financing Scheme.

25. Who is responsible for making the payment to ALTI?

Talent is responsible for making the payment directly to ALTI. You can choose either of the following options:

  • Pay & Claim
    Pay the training fees upfront and then submit a reimbursement claim to Yayasan Peneraju
  • Disbursement Request
    Submit a disbursement request to Yayasan Peneraju, wait for the funds to be released to your bank account and then make the payment to ALTI.

In both cases, you must upload proof of payment (e.g. a bank transfer slip or official receipt) via Peneraju.org to complete your claim.

26. Would I be able to reject Yayasan Peneraju offer after I receive it?

Yes. The offer will only be valid if you sign (and initial each page on EFSA) and return the letter of offer to Yayasan Peneraju.

27. Would I be able to change the training and certification or financing scheme after the letter of offer by Yayasan Peneraju has been issued?

No. The Financing Scheme approved by Yayasan Peneraju is based on information submitted and Proof of Registration from ALTI. You can reject the offer and re-apply. However, there is no guarantee that Yayasan Peneraju will approve the subsequent application/s.

28. Do I have to sign an agreement with Yayasan Peneraju for the Financing Scheme?

Yes, you are required to enter into an agreement with Yayasan Peneraju on the approved Financing Scheme to pursue the training and certification.

29. Can I change my course or ALTI after submitting my application?

If you wish to change the institution (ALTI) or course after submitting your application, you must cancel your current application and submit a new one with the updated details. Please note that resubmission does not guarantee approval, and all changes must comply with Yayasan Peneraju’s eligibility requirements and application timelines.

30. Are guarantors required for the Financing Scheme agreement?

Yes. A guarantor is required for those applying for the Financing Scheme. The guarantor must be:

  • Malaysian citizen, residing in Malaysia
  • Between 21 – 60 years old
  • Good credit standing with no history of bankruptcy
  • A family member or an individual in close relationship with the talent

If a guarantor becomes unfit (deceased, mentally unstable, bankrupt, etc) during the duration of the Financing Scheme agreement, responsibility will be on the Talent to inform Yayasan Peneraju and provide details of a new guarantor.

31. Do I need to stamp the Financing Scheme agreement at LHDN?

No. You are only required to return signed copies of the agreement. Yayasan Peneraju will do the e-stamping on behalf of talent and will safekeep the Signed Copies of the stamped agreement.

32. Am I allowed to exit from the Financing Scheme agreement with Yayasan Peneraju?

Yes. You may exit from the Financing Scheme agreement via Peneraju.org. Subsequently, a Letter of Demand (LOD) will be issued for 100% repayment of all amounts disbursed by Yayasan Peneraju if you have utilized the funds that has been approved. After exiting the Financing Scheme, you may continue with your training and certification up until completion.

33. If I fail a paper or module, will Yayasan Peneraju still sponsor me?

Yayasan Peneraju does not automatically continue financing for repeat or failed papers. You may be required to bear the cost of resits or additional modules. However, you may submit an appeal, and the approval is subject to Yayasan Peneraju’s discretion based on your academic performance and justification provided.

34. Will the full amount of the Financing Scheme be disbursed regardless of actual expenses?

No. The disbursement of the Financing Scheme is determined by the invoiced amount from the ALTI and any applicable set allowance. Any unutilised amount from the Financing Scheme will not be released and repayment will not include the unutilised amount.

35. What will happen to me if Yayasan Peneraju terminates my Financing Scheme agreement?

You are advised to read the terms and conditions stated in the Financing Scheme agreement. If you are found to breach any of the clauses in the agreement, Yayasan Peneraju has the right to terminate the agreement and subsequently LOD will be issued for 100% recovery of amount disbursed.

36. When should I submit my disbursement request (claim) to Yayasan Peneraju?

For Disbursement (Claim and Pay):

  • Request must be submitted through Peneraju.org within 30 working days from date of invoice by ALTI.
  • Proof of payment (receipt) must be submitted to Yayasan Peneraju within ten (10) working days via Peneraju.org.

For Reimbursement (Pay and Claim):

  • Request must be submitted within 30 working days of receipt date.
  • For Allowances: Request must be submitted quarterly.

37. Upon my disbursement request, when will Yayasan Peneraju release the payment to me?

  • Disbursement will be made within ten (10) working days upon complete and accurate claim submission through Peneraju.org.
  • You will be notified via email if the claim is complete and accurate.
  • Upon successful submission, the payment will be made directly to your registered bank account.
  • If the claim is submitted after 5:30 PM, the transaction will be processed the next working day.

38. Will I receive a notification if the disbursement request application is rejected?

Yes. You will receive a notification stating the reason for rejection.

You will need to repeat the claim process.

Among reasons of rejection may be:

  • Incomplete document
  • Invoice/receipt date exceeds claim period
  • Items claimed not covered under financing scheme
  • Inaccurate information
  • Claim amount exceeds approved Financing Scheme amount
  • Others

39. Do I need to pay back the Financing Scheme if I complete the training and certification within the given duration?

Yes. In general, you are required to pay back the Financing Scheme. However, please refer to the terms and conditions stipulated in your Financing Scheme agreement for details.

40. When does the repayment commence?

42. What is a Letter of Demand (LOD)?

Letter of Demand is a formal notice sent by Yayasan Peneraju to Talents who have signed the Yayasan Peneraju Financing Scheme Agreement for repayment of the disbursed amount. This letter will be issued within 1 month after completion of training and certification, exit from financing scheme or termination. The Letter of Demand serves as a formal reminder to the Talents of their financial obligations.

43. Is it true that the repayment period can extend up to 18 years?

Yes. The repayment period may extend up to 18 years, depending on your total financing amount and repayment capacity. A detailed repayment schedule will be provided in your Letter of Demand (LOD). This extended tenure is intended to ease your monthly financial commitment.

44. What happens if I am still unemployed or without any income after the completion of the training and certification?

Deferment of repayment may be granted to those who are unemployed/continuing their studies. However, you need to submit an appeal for the deferment to Yayasan Peneraju’s Recovery team, whose contact information will be included in the LOD.

45. Can Yayasan Peneraju’s existing scholars convert their current Perjanjian Pembiayaan to this Financing Scheme agreement or can I apply for another Financing Scheme?

No. Existing scholars under Perjanjian Pembiayaan and Talents under the Financing Scheme need to complete their programme and pay at least 50% of the repayment amount before they can apply for another Financing Scheme.

46. Under what circumstances will Yayasan Peneraju consider a Talent as inactive/dormant?

Talent’s status will change to inactive/dormant if Yayasan Peneraju detects that no claim has been made within six (6) months of offer acceptance. This may result in the termination of the Financing Scheme. Letter of Demand (LOD) for recovery will be issued.

47. Can my siblings or family members apply for Yayasan Peneraju Financing Scheme?

Yes. All family members are eligible to apply provided they meet the entry requirement.
