PMI Authorized Training Partner Malaysia Wins 2026 Honor

Skillet Named an Emerging Partner Achievement Honoree at the PMI APAC Authorized Training Partner Honors 2026

On the evening of 10 June 2026, in a room full of Asia Pacific’s leading training organizations, Skillet (Mind Matrix Sdn. Bhd.) was recognized by the Project Management Institute with the Emerging Partner Achievement Honor at the PMI APAC Authorized Training Partner Honors 2026, held alongside the PMI Global Summit in Seoul, South Korea.

For a Malaysian, Bumiputera-owned training company, sharing that stage with honorees from Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, and Australia was more than a proud moment. It was confirmation that the way we train project managers here in Malaysia stands up to the best in the region.

What the honor recognizes

The Emerging Partner Achievement Honor is awarded by PMI for, in its own words, “exceptional growth, market activation, and early impact within the first year of partnership with PMI.” It celebrates partners that have “rapidly established strong momentum and meaningful contribution within the PMI Authorized Training Partner ecosystem.”

In plain terms: of all the new training partners across Asia Pacific, PMI singled out Skillet for how quickly we built quality, reached learners, and delivered results.

Skillet has been in the training business since 2013. Becoming a PMI Authorized Training Partner was a natural step, and earning this honor in our first chapter as an ATP tells us the foundation is right. As a PMI Authorized Training Partner in Malaysia, every course we run on the PMP and other PMI credentials uses PMI-developed content and is taught by qualified instructors, so what you learn maps directly to the exam and to real project work.

A night in Seoul

The ceremony ran from 6 to 8 pm on 10 June, the first evening of the two-day PMI Global Summit. The award was presented to Skillet by Michael Dumbroski, PMI’s Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Programs, and the evening put us in the same room as PMI’s most senior leaders, including President and CEO Pierre Le Manh, APAC Regional Managing Director SoHyun Kang, and Karen Micah, Director of Channel Partnerships and Programs.

We also reconnected with our regional account manager, Kelvin Gan from PMI Singapore, who has supported Skillet’s growth from the start, and met fellow honorees from across the region. Representing Skillet were Afi, our Business Development Manager, who accepted the award, and Dayana, our Finance Manager.

“We started with one belief: Malaysia has world-class talent. They just need access to the right credentials. This award from PMI tells us we are doing that right.” — Afi, Business Development Manager, Skillet

This recognition belongs as much to the professionals who trained with us and trusted us with their careers, and to the Skillet team back home, as it does to anyone on that stage in Seoul.

What this means if you are thinking about PMP certification

An award is only as good as what it does for the people we train. Here is why this one matters to you.

When you train with a recognized PMI Authorized Training Partner, you are not gambling on the quality of the material or the instructor. The PMP is one of the most respected project management certifications in the world, and it is demanding. The right preparation is the difference between passing on your first attempt and repeating the journey.

If you have been waiting for the right time and the right provider to pursue the PMP, this is your sign. Skillet’s PMP certification training is built to take you from where you are now to exam-ready, with PMI-approved content and instructors who know the material inside out.

Not ready for the PMP yet? If you are newer to project management, the CAPM certification is the ideal starting point and builds the foundation the PMP expects. If your teams work in agile environments, the PMI-ACP is worth a look.

Why train with a PMI Authorized Training Partner

For HR leaders, L&D heads, and training coordinators, the choice of training provider is a risk decision. You are committing budget and your people’s time. Working with a PMI Authorized Training Partner removes the guesswork:

  • Course content is developed and approved by PMI, not improvised.
  • Instructors are qualified to deliver PMI credential preparation.
  • Skillet is an HRD Corp registered training provider, so eligible Malaysian employers can claim training costs from their existing levy.

This recognition from PMI is independent proof that Skillet delivers. If you are planning project management training for your team in 2026, talk to us about a programme that fits.
